Comments: Using 0.22-m and 0.45-m L the inner coma was elongated in the direction perpendicular to
the tail, the central inner part of the tail had a brighter kernel (somewhat reminiscent of
C/1996 B2 Hyakutake). Reference stars of mag 4.6 and 6.0. Visible to naked eye between Beta and
Theta UMa (more prominent and larger than C/1995 O1 Hale-Bopp).

Comments: Featureless glow. No tail, just a glimpse of extension of coma towards PA 0 degrees.
Comparison stars PPM 78328 V=7.6, PPM 78348 V=9.2. ZLM 6.3. Both M101 (V=7.7, dia 25) and
M51 (V=8.4 dia 9) at similar altitude and sky conditions were considerably easier using MM=I method.
